The first night of the 25th Anniversary of Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 29th, 2009, was closed with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band who performed Jackie Wilson's Top 10 hit from the year 1967 "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher". The Boss was joined by Darlene Love, John Fogerty, Sam Moore, Billy Joel, Tom Morello, Jackson Browne, Peter Wolf and others. Fogerty sang a verse and played rhythm. The concerts of the both nights were released on CD and DVD next year.  The performances were also aired in the USA by the HBO. 

That's rock and roll. 

Trivia

"(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher" is the second song from the catalogue of Jackie Wilson that Fogerty has performed. He recorded "Lonely Teardrops" for the John Fogerty album already in 1975. 

Fogerty, Springsteen and the E Street Band took the stage after midnight. The correct date of the performances would be October 30th, to be exact.
