Richard McDonnell

Sir Richard McDonnell is a famous interstellar investor, engineer, and industrialist. Formerly of Earth, now Alpha Centauri, Richard is a patron of new scientific endeavours and is known as a visionary among his colleagues.McDonnell was the founder of Project: Alpha Centauri Transwarp Study (PACTS), an ambitious attempt to prove the newly-discovered concept of transwarp theory. PACTS was considered an upstart rival project to Earth’s own Transwarp Development Program. Richard's wife Joan is a native of Alpha Centauri, and they have a son Steven. In 2268, Richard and Joan nearly lost their son during an experiment with a prototype transwarp conduit.
