"The Ganymede 12"

"The Ganymede 12" is the name given to twelve crewmen who survived the initial hijacking of the USS Ganymede by Zarbozan Pirates in 2268 (ST:P1 "Aesop's Stepchildren").

To evade interception by the USS Bretagne, Captain Zarboza ordered his men to round up a dozen injured Starfleet personnel, and forced them all into a sealed cargo container, which was then launched out of an aft shuttlebay. Captain Harper ordered Chief Engineer Schrödinger to get an emergency transporter lock on the cargo container, and beam the distressed crewmen aboard to safety. As a result, the Ganymede got away.

Three members of "The Ganymede 12" went on to serve aboard the Bretagne after recovering from their injuries: Crewman Jeff Gauss, Lt. Shieri Galia, and Lt. Brian Caldwell.
