Garri Warrix

Dr. Warrix is an honored surgeon and a professor emeritus at Starfleet Medical Academy. He is a published scholar and was a pivotal figure in combining the fields of psychiatry, space psychology, and critical care medicine, with a focus on post-operative rehabilitative therapy.

He was asked to serve aboard the Bretagne when Starfleet Command was in need of a supervisory Chief Surgeon to establish and coordinate the ship's new Emergency Medical Section (EMS). Dr. Warrix was more than happy to accept.

Widely regarded as a very patient and understanding individual, Dr. Warrix is well known for his soft; reassuring voice and calming bedside manner. His ability to listen and advise others makes the need for a ship's counselor rather pointless and redundant. He also acts as a close mentor to Nurse Colleen McMurphy.

Despite his age, Dr. Warrix is still as active as any Edosian in Starfleet. He makes his own gourmet barbeque sauce, collects butterflies, and enjoys playing classical piano. Dr. Warrix is also a 5-time Starfleet Academy champion of Edosian Ping Pong, and gives free lessons during his off-duty time.
