Pawnee Amateur Radio Club - Columbus, Nebraska

The Pawnee Amateur Radio Club met in person on April 15th, in the Platte County EOC. Club president, Dave AC0TF, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Role was called by KD0OBA.

Old Business
Treasurer report was given by KD0RIZ. Due to planned checking fee increases on our account KD0RIZ still looking into moving the account to an alternate bank.
New Business
NORHM will be coordinating a site visit to the 775 tower to reboot the system and possibly eliminate the whistle.
KF0GCK will be coordinating a site visit to the Meshtastic node on top of the Courthouse to update the Meshtastic firmware.
Heartland Tower was up at the DStar tower site to spray weeds and clean the room up.
Need to take a look at the 146.640 repeater noise.
Plan to put SWR meter on the 640 antenna
Plan to put a mobile radio on the antenna to see if it is the repeater or the antenna
Will take a look the existing fiberglass antenna and also the old original antenna
May 10th is the Nebraska state ARRL convention

With no further business, the business portion was concluded and the club moved onto general discussion and the program for the evening.

KFOQPC discussed his homemade antenna mast
N0RHM showed the handheld Motorola statewide radio used by Platte County EM and Columbus Police that has Internet capability
N0RHM showed the HAMCLOCK software produced by ClearSkyInstitute
Discussed lightening protection and grounding in the shack to eliminate RF
