Pawnee Amateur Radio Club

November 9, 2015

The Pawnee Amateur Radio Club met November 9th, 2015 at the Emergency Operations Center under the courthouse in Columbus Nebraska.  Club vice president, Chris AC0DN, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.  Adam KD0RIZ read the minutes of the October meeting.   Club Treasurer, Ted K7CLP, gave a treasury report as of 11/9/2015 with no outstanding bills for the month.

Old Business

Technician Class - Limited discussion about having a technician class.  Saturday mornings were suggested instead of during the week.  Nothing further was discussed or decided.  

Certificates for the August special event station - Tim N0RHM has a certificate ready.  Chris AC0DN has the self addressed envelopes that he received.  Tim N0RHM will print out the certificates on nice paper and Chris AC0DN will mail them out.

New Business

Merit Badge - John Quincy was looking to have a one hour block to go over radio concepts and terminology in order to get merit badges.  It was determined that one hour would not be enough time to go over material and try to make contacts.  Dave AC0TF was going to get with John to discuss. This was planned to happen at the college in February 2016.

With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by LaRonda KE0AUP and seconded by Chris AC0DN.  Motion carried. 

Club Activity

A group of members met after the meeting at the DStar site to sweep out and vacuum the building.  Thanks to all who were able to make it!
