Ingredients
5 lbs russet potatoes
several cups canola oil
salt
You will need a waffle attachment for a mandoline or other slicing tool.
Instructions
Peel potatoes.
Use waffle attachment to slice potatoes in one direction, rotate potato 90 degrees and slide in the opposite direction, forming waffle slices of potato.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Use enough oil to fill skillet about 1 inch.
When oil is hot, add enough fries so each has its own space in the skillet.
Cook for about 5 minutes, until lightly browned.
Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with salt.
Best eaten when hot!
