Ingredients
2 oz rum (Kennedy school uses 3 Racks rum, which is aged in whiskey barrels)
Ginger liqueur (1/2 oz)
Ginger syrup (1/2 oz) - see below for recipe
3/4 oz lemon juice
Angostura bitters
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a shaker half-full of ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Note: these are the ingredients from the menu, so we don't have the proportions down just yet.
To make ginger syrup: boil 1c water, 1c sugar, and 3/4c peeled ginger, and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
