To be nominated the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, today, I wore a new tie. This clever Bill Blass number.

Tuesday, September 16

You might think this funky green tie would improve my mood, but all I offer is a disingenuous smile. Tuesday is the new Monday.

Wednesday, September 17

I did not want to go to work. And so, I didn't. I mean, I told my boss yesterday. So it wasn't a morning snap decision.

Thursday, September 18

Back to work, just in time to slip on this purple tie littered with dots and the hopes of an approaching Friday.

Friday, September 19

The innocence and the purity of the deep red Friday hanging from my neck is nearly menstrual.
