I wore this slick "Italian Design" (what does that mean??) tie to the nurse's office at work at 8am. My ear's been hurting. She looked in my ear, spoke of fears of a ruptured ear drum using words like "perforated," and dispatched me to the emergency room, featured below, 7 or 8 train stops away. Boring way to spend your morning, but I'll live, albeit deaf in one ear.

You know what I like about this necktie? It is colorful but subdued (No, I don't know what that means, but I claim it sounds almost intellectual).

Loving this tie. It's bright, it's colorful, it's classy, it's made of silk; it's the only good thing about this day.

I love the contrast of the little blue lines on the silver tie. Blues beautifully brought out by the canvas that is the blue shirt upon which this sensational tie rests.
Friday, August 1
I was throwing up at 5:30 am. I selected this tie because, though I like it, it sort of reminds me of vomit. I got to work at 1 pm. I left work at 2 pm.
