American History--next stop: Smithsonian

As my ties collected, I have struggled to come up with something to do with them. Then last week this idea occurred. I bought some string and nails over the weekend and set this up on my office wall this morning. I tend to get to work earlier than most in the office, and I admit I wanted to get it done quickly (with my door closed) before too many people started arriving, people who might notice me actively doing this. I take part in this whole frivolity because it's harmless and amuses me. And I'm bored. It may be my destiny for greatness, but almost 8 weeks--and more than 30 ties--in, this ridiculous monument to desperately needing a hobby is still pretty embarrassing. =)
