DISTANT LOVE

How you look like, no matter what you wish

Be a bird in the sky, in that sea be like a fish

Any where you fly, on my tree is your finish

As  hunter I chase, at last you rest on my dish

I never mind, if you are convinced what you take

My true love made you feel asleep or often awake

When I chat, you either melt or you seem to shake

I do not know, if it is your fault or my big mistake

What differs, to live as a king or be your slave?

To live in a vast castle or share you a tight cave

Be burned in fire, or drifted away in your wave

Dead , alive, in hell, heaven or under the grave

Tell me the truth and never deny what you know

Your love was a shock to mind, to the head a blow

In heart I keep all secrets, openly the eyes show

It falls as heavy snow, and as fast as rivers flow

Your distant love makes me share your sorrow

No past fright, I scare not now , I fear tomorrow

In agony you tortured the heart, forced to borrow

No body can stand this, even that  little sparrow

Like a swift bird and like a very peaceful dove

Flying as high as I could in the open sky above

ليس في اليد حيلة , و لا يملك الفكر القرار

Once I loved , twice I long , now I adore ,

Az ketma benda ta , ta az gertem be zor ,

ئەز کەتمە بەندا تە،تە ئز گرتم بە زور

ما لي لو بدا الهلال , يكفيني ضيائك بدر البدور

At night I count stars , hoping to dream ,

Da b gehma avina xo , L  hendav freem ,

دا ب گەهمە ئەڤینا خو، ل هنداڤ فریم

صدك و البعد عنّي دواء و شفاء للعليل السقيم

In paradise I care not to be , neither in hell ,

hesh ber , sawda nema , ma kane aw del ,  Ta

تە هش بر، سەودا نەما، ما کا ئەو دل

روحي لم تتْعبْ , و نفسي في الانتظار لم تملْ

Mind is busy, often dizzy , full of worry ,

Nu zanem kane perya men , kyva ferry ,

نوزانم کانێ پەریامن، کیڤە فری؟

هواك مغروسٌ ها هنا , وذكراك في ثنايا الفكر  

( 7 ) 

Your love is as a mount ,deep as a valley,

Giyan per bo j avine , nuke ye maye xaly ,

گیان پر بو ژ ئەڤینێ، نوکە یێ مایە خالی

هجركِ عذابُ , و اللقاء بيننا ضرب من الخيالِ

Never let the tears from your eyes fall ,

Hizra belav, na minet val , na bita chol ,

هزرا بەلاڤ، نەمینیت ڤال ، نە بیتە چول

لستُ ادري , أمنك بدا التقصير أم أنا المسؤول؟

Must I admit my sin to you or in court ?

Ya men keri , to d zani , men hami got ,

یا من کریم، تو د زانی، من هەمی گوت

لساني شاهدٌ , يحيا معي يبوح سرّي أو يموت

Nothing in the world would make me fear ,

Bla cherxo falak ta blend ket , bebat dear,

بلا چەرخ و فەلەک تە بلندکەت، ببەت دویر

الولهانُ أسيرٌ لا يبالي , القليل لديه يعني الكثير

No direction or depression , both are bad ,

Qet bawer neka , axeftene, bo nina benyad ,

قەت باوەر نەکە، ئاخفتنە، بو نینە بنیاد

صدّقيني يا أَفيني طبيبكِ تائهٌ في وادٍ وأنت في وادْ

Sad feelings, your dad used to think and say,

Beje babo j men veba , men pela de che kay ,

بێژە بابو ژ من ڤەبە، من پێلە دێ چ کەی

ما دام الدواء لم ينفع معي , فآخرٌ الدواء هو الكيْ

Whether day dreams or fairy tales, said mum,

Ew nina dayke, ye d serida gelek hezer u xam,

ئەو نینە دایکێ، یێ د سەری دا گەلەک هزرو خەم

أُمَّي ألم تشُمي عطرَ الغرامَ يسري في العروق كالدمْ

Vina vesharti d nav hezera te da hat u cho ,

ڤینا ڤەشارتی د ناڤ هزرا تە دا هات و چو

تغفُ عينيكِ في غرامٍ و تصحين وقد صار الحب هيامُ

د گەل مە ، دێ مینیت، هندی هەبیت د لەشی خون

قد يطول العشق بنا ,بل الوصلُ صعبٌ ربما لا يكون   

   Law of the jungle

At some point of time in our forest

When the lion became angry

And roared loudly

And started shouting and clamoring

The ass responded to him by braying

The dogs fled followed by the herd

Out of their holes rabbits, foxes and rats

The sea moved and the waves popped

The crowds and cohorts escaped

Drifted in the open towards the unknown

The child asked his father, who is responsible?

Is the dinosaur back to us again

Spewing from his mouth fire and iron

responded with all bitterness and timid voice

From the East and West came to us

Tartars, Mongols and the Saxon

Chopping off valleys, plains and fields

Yes, today my son we host on our land

from every corner of the world

By menacing, intimidation and threat

Descendants of Hulaga with new guise

Receiving all kinds of gifts from uncles

And those who were in love

As Ham and Sam

To relieve our aches and pains

In order the children of the Sacred

Live in peace and tranquility

And we die, as animals and sheep

Worshiping them as idols

Thus days revolve

Oh orphans
