Job Description:

Check medical charts for accuracy and completion

Verify signatures

Verify medical data in computers

Clarify information or diagnosis by communicating with healthcare providers

Maintain credentials and keep updated on coding changes

Accurately translate patient information and into alpha-numeric medical code

Find and match medical services and their codes using billing and coding manuals

Enter the code into a database using a set medical protocol to produce a statement or claim

Provide timely and accurate data to ensure reimbursement for patient services

Verify information with the health provider and update the new details into the database incase if the claim is denied

Maintain highest confidentiality of medical record information

Follow policies, procedures, and guidelines to assure consistent quality billing and coding

Deal with collections and insurance fraud

Preferred Skills:

Experience: 1-4 years

Strong knowledge on Medical terminology, Industry coding for medical procedures
