K-TET

In order to make sure the standards of teaching in school level,the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has decided to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (subsection (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act) for the candidates to be selected as a teacher in classes I to VIII.(In Kerala it is up to class X)A pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test(TET) is a mandatory requirement of Teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala.The Teacher Eligibility Test conducted in the State will hereafter be known as KeralaTeacher Eligibility Test (K-TET).Ref:TET in Kerala G.O (P)No. 70/12/G.Edn, dated: 01.03.2012and G.O (Ms) No.205/12/G.Edn.dated:25.06.2012
