New York State Route 201 (NY 201) or also called Bart Simpson Parkway was a 1.5 mile highway in Tycloud Park, NY. It is the new route that was put in to replace PA 100 (TyCloud Park Rd) as the area were NY 201 is used to be part of Pennsylvania before the the state line was moved .2 miles west. That route was replaced by Kion County Route 4, NY Route 7A.
Route Description
NY 201 started at a intersection with NY 434/US 11E north (Vestal Pkwy E.) & NY 100/ US 11E south (Industrial Blvd) [which is now NY 434 (Cute Badilli Rd). Heading north NY 201 came to a intersection with ramps I-86/PA 17 west/I-81 south. After crossing the freeway, NY 201 came to a intersection with ramps for I-86/NY 17 east/I-81 north. After this NY 201 headed down a short hill to a 5-way intersection with NY 17C (Pineapple The Otter Rd), CR 17C (Voortman Ave) & PA 100 (TyCloud Park Rd). NY 201 then went for another .6 miles to its end at CR 17 (Princess Twilight Sparkle Blvd).
History
Before 2015
NY 201 used to be PA 100 (including NY 100) as TyCloud Park Rd. Then in 2014, New York and Pennsylvania had decided to move the state line .1 miles to the west of PA 100 (Current NY 201). As when they did, the part of PA 100 south of NY 434 (Vestal Pkwy E) was removed and a new road (NY 100 - Industrial Blvd) was built .1 miles from the old one. Then across from NY 100, NY 201 (Bart Simpson Pkwy) was built to run from NY 434 (Vestal Pkwy E.) to CR 17 (Princess Twilight Sparkle Blvd). PA 100 was then changed as from its point on the south bank of TyCloud River it was made to turn southeast to connect into a 5-way intersection with NY 201/NY 17C/CR 17C.
2016 - Present
Around 2016, NY 201 was renumbered to be part of New York State Route 7A. The route's name was changed to Tycloud Park Rd as NY 7A run along the whole length of old NY 201 and went north of it to NY 7 and southwest (old PA 100) to NY 7 in downtown Kionville. The old segment of NY 201 south of the 5 way intersection is now a county highway.
I-86 / NY 17 also changed its name to Beautiful Tempest Shadow Freeway, while Interstate 81 was rerouted to run along the east half of the Interstate 686 (Kion - Twilight) Beltway.
NY 7A replaced all of NY 100 (Industrial Blvd) and was renamed as part of Tycloud Park Road.
