Equestria Highway 840 (EQ 840) and New York State Route 840 (NY 840) or Lauren Faust Highway is a New York state route and Equestria major highway. The route connects Equestria's Highway 86 (and Equestria itself) up to the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) in Utica, NY and Canada via I-90 & I-81. The route is a major travel connecting Equestria to Ontario Canada. .
The route is named Lauren Faust Highway after the creator of My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic, Lauren Faust.
The route of "Lauren Faust Highway" uses Equestria Highway 840 to the NY (US) and Equestria border, where it becomes New York State Route 840. It follows NY 840 along a new built freeway that follows northward along NY 8, bypassing towns that are along NY 8.
All of the route is a controlled-access highway except the portion between I-90 and NY 5A and the portion between I-188 and Equestria Highway 405. The route is a fast connection to Equestria for traffic from Canada (using I-81, I-481, I-90 and NY 840) and from areas around I-90.
The route follows NY Route 840, a route that in real life runs along a short at-grade expressway in Utica. In this project that route has been extended north and south.
The route segment in Utica between I-90 (NY Thruway) and the NY 12, NY 8 and NY 5 cloverleaf interchange is also signed as Officer Joseph D. Corr Memorial Highway for Officer Joseph D. Corr (more info at link) just like the real road it named.
