Interstate 87 (I-87) or Mike & Cindy Thruway / Adirondack Northway is a interstate highway in the state of New York in the U.S.A.
Route description
The first segment is from its southern terminus at Interstate 287 north to the county line is a free interstate.
The second segment from the county line north to its interchange with Interstate 90 is called Mike & Cindy Thruway, a segment of the New York State Thruway. This segment is named so as to make it have different exit numbers then the mainline route along I-90.
The 3rd segment is a free interstate from Interstate 90 in Albany north to Quebec Autoroute 15 at the US/Canada border.
The Mike & Cindy Thruway segment is a all-electronic toll road named after my (the project's owner's) parents to show them they are the best parents ever!
