Baked Oreo Donuts

Baked Oreo Donuts

Baked Oreo Donuts:

1 1/3 cup flour

1 cup Oreo cookies (about 10 Oreos), ground in food processor and divided

6 tbsp. sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

1 1/4 tsp. baking powder

1 egg

1/4 cup butter, melted

3/4 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla extract

12 Oreo cookies, broken into 1/2 inch chunks

Glaze:

2 tbsp. milk

6 oz. white chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously coat 2 donut pans with cooking spray.

Combine flour, 2/3 cups of ground Oreos, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Whisk and set aside. In a small bowl, beat egg, butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Add to dry and whisk until well blended. Gently fold in Oreo chunks using a rubber spatula.

Spoon the batter into donut molds, filling each no more than three-quarters full. Bake for about 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Unmold donuts.

For the glaze, place milk and white chocolate into a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir content. Repeat microwaving at 15 second intervals and stirring until chocolate is smooth.

Spoon glaze over donut and immediately sprinkle on some of the reserved ground Oreos. Repeat glazing and sprinkling until all of donuts are decorated. Makes 12 donuts.
