Horizontal Search is one of the search formulas that is often used in Excel. With Horizontal Search I can look up data from other files or tabs. The data in the file or tab that I refer to must always be sorted alphabetically, otherwise the results will be incorrect. How to refer to the data can be seen in the tab explanation ('uitleg'). I explain in 19 steps how to use the formula and which reference belongs where. Horizontal Search searches horizontally as the name suggests, which means the data in the row is searched. With Vertical Search the data is searched verticallly, which means that the data in the column is searched.
This file comes from the Voedselbank Curaçao (Food Bank). I have anonymized this file to use it as an example for Horizontal Search. I have made all house numbers, ID numbers and phone numbers the same, which makes it anonymized. The street names are street names that are used on Curaçao. The file is in Papiamentu and it was an assignment I worked out for someone who worked for Voedselbank Curaçao.
