This was an event organised and led by two fathers (Mr. James Teo and Mr. Dunhua) from the GESS PTA. 13 pairs of father-child met at the Stadium MRT for this Cycling Trip on 3 November 2018, Saturday, 8.30am. Interestingly all were boys except for Min En from sec 3E who was there with her father, Mr Lim P. G. Min En loves to cycle but does not have a bicycle at home so relish the opportunity to participate in this event. Mr Lim is glad to spend time outdoors with his daughter. After a safety check and briefing, the group took off. It was a round trip from the Stadium to Marina Barrage, and they were back before noon. It was an easy cycle for Mr Saburulla as his family have done even longer distance before from East Coast to Marina Barrage. One father commented that the school should organise more of such activity and was surprised when told this was the second event for the year. Obviously his child must have 'filtered' out events he was not keen to join and as such, the father was not told. Many fathers expressed interest to participate in similar events with their child, with the “physically fitter” fathers suggesting hiking Bukit Timah Hill as a possibility.
