PREREQUISITES: KCDM 241 or GD 112
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Student will create storyboard art, comics, or graphic novels for print media, using a combination of traditional and digital imaging techniques.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
The student will be able to:
1.Recognize current sequential art genres and discuss relevant distribution
channels and job markets.
2.Communicate a sequential art project concept in concise verbal, visual and written formats.
3.Illustrate a narrative concept through sketch, storyboard art
4.Create finished sequential art in the form of a comic book, comic strip,
graphic novel or storyboard animatic.
5.Employ standard digital coloring techniques using Photoshop.
6.Record/appropriate/create sound and/or voice for use in an animatic storyboard
(for storyboard artists only)
7.Employ Flash to create a storyboard animatic (for storyboard artists only).
8.Discuss, debate and ideate concept proposals, works in progress and finished
works as a member of a review group.
