PREREQUISITES: KCDM 241 or KCGD 220
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students will create interactive works for delivery via the Web using HTML and CSS software applications combined with basic coding.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
The student will be able to:
1.Analyze current interactive genres and compare their related copyright issues.
2.Apply a design and production process that is in-line with current industry standards for an interactive project such as “User Experience” and “Objectives Based” design practices.
3.Communicate a self-designed interactive project concept in concise verbal, visual, and written formats. Self-promotional, portfolio websites are not appropriate.
4.Appropriate and/or create digital content (including images and text) and incorporate it into an interactive work made with Adobe Dreamweaver software.
5.Create a multi-page, (non-portfolio) website using HTML and CSS generated with Adobe Dreamweaver software.
6.Recognize and manipulate basic HTML and CSS code in a text editor.
7.Perform cross-platform/cross-browser functionality testing.
8.Discuss, debate, and ideate interactive design works for the purpose of advancing projects in progress, and critiquing finished projects as a member of a review group.
