COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students will create animation utilizing a fully digital process to create a two-dimensional, character-based animation involving full motion with synchronized voice.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
The student will be able to:
1.Debate related copyright issues and understand the methods of distribution of animated works for the physical and virtual channels available in the emerging marketplace.
2.Employ concise verbal, visual, and written communication skills to make a clearly defined animation project proposal.
3.Translate their understanding of current, full motion, character animation trends into finished art and incorporate it into a series of animation examples made with Flash software.
4.Demonstrate proficiency in animation techniques that include transformation, turnaround, 2 legged walk/run, four legged walk/run, and lip-synching techniques.
5.Publish animation for delivery via CD/DVD, Web, video, film, or broadcast media.
6.Critique, compare, and dissect animation concept proposals, works in progress, and finished works as a member of a review group.
