COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students will create hybrid interactive designs that incorporate Flash Actionscript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP development languages.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

The student will be able to:

1.Apply a design and production process that is in-line with current industry standards for an interactive project such as “User Experience” and “Objectives Based” design practices.

2.Communicate a self-designed interactive project concept in concise verbal, visual, and written formats. Self-promotional, portfolio websites are not appropriate.

3.Create a hybrid interactive web site that incorporates Shockwave components nested in a HTML, CSS and PHP driven layout.

4.Load content into a web page dynamically using external data provided by a MySQL database or XML.

5.Discuss, debate, and ideate interactive design works for the purpose of advancing projects in progress, and critiquing finished projects as a member of a review group.
