COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Focuses on advanced methods and techniques used to create and animate logos, program headers, and products for commercials

COURSE OUTCOMES:

The student will be able to:

1. Plan, conceptualize, and develop storyboards for animation production, following current industry standards.

2. Identify and apply appropriate modeling processes used in creating text, and logos for animation.

3. Create appropriate surfaces for animated text and logos; especially transparency and reflective surfaces.

4. Work with advanced surfacing and lighting techniques; including volumetrics, caustics, radiosity, and glint passes.

5. Understand and apply Hypervoxels and other appropriate EFX to animations.

6. Work with animated text for TV Station or Program Identities.

7. Develop a product commercial from initial concept to final animated movie.

8. Discuss and critique ongoing animation projects and final rendered movies
