PREREQUISITES: none

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

A computer course which focuses on the creation of three-dimensional objects and

Environments for Print, Animation, and Prototype development.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

The student will be able to:

1.Identify and use the various modeling tools and processes associated with 3D object

and environment construction.

2.Determine what processes and procedures to use when creating various types of objects and environments.

3.Demonstrate an ability to integrate Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with LightWave 3D in object and texture creation.

4.Create various types of 3D object models based upon the students area of interest.

5.Develop and apply surface textures appropriate to visual styles.

6.Develop dynamic imagery using models, textures, lighting, and camera set-ups.

7.Correctly render imagery for Photoshop output to print.

8.Discuss and critique ongoing construction projects and final rendered imagery

9.Understand copyright issues associated with 3D models and various genres.
