DM MISSION STATEMENT
THE DIGITAL MEDIA PROGRAM
is designed to develop innovative artists, well prepared to pursue careers in existing and emerging digital technologies. With substantial flexibility in the degree of specialization/generalization built into the curriculum, students will be able to develop portfolios in one or more of these professional media markets:
Digital Imaging:
for Comics, Story-boarding, Print Publications, Retail & Toy Design, Production and Concept Art for Advertising and Film/Animation, Character and Background design for Games and Animation.
2D Animation:
for Cartoons, Games, Advertising delivered on the web, TV and Film.
Motion Graphics:
for Television & Film Titles, Special Effects, Animated Advertising on the web, mobile devices and TV.
3D Animation:
for Television & Film Motion Graphics, Advertising, Simulation and 3D Games
Interactive Design:
for Website, Advertising, Game and Mobile Device Interfaces.
Digital Media Graduates will have a broad-spectrum understanding of art, design, technology and culture and become change-agents in a rapidly evolving digital age. They will have a theoretical understanding of narrative, informative and decorative imaging, animation and design. This will be matched with computer graphics proficiency gained through the practical experience of a project-based learning program.
