COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students will create interactive portfolios of their work for delivery via DVD, CD-Rom and the Web along with a print media identity campaign.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

The student will be able to:

1.Apply copyright standards as they relate to digital media distribution systems.

2.Understand self-employed business practices, including pricing, contracts, estimates, invoices, draws, rights management, business name registration, DBAs, LLCs, taxes and copyrights.

3.Develop targeted strategies for job, internship and client reviews.

4.Recognize branding and its relationship to self-promotional design concepts.

5.Create an interactive self-promotional portfolio using for delivery via CD-Rom and the Web.

6.Create a 1 to 3 minute promotional reel of animated, interactive and print media

and author it on DVD.

7.Create a self-promotional identity kit, that including business cards, letterhead, resume, leave behinds and a (optional) DVD jacket.

8. Recognize the use of social networking and Web 2.0 template based applications for extending an on-line presence

9. Acquire a domain name and upload their site to a live server.
