Our planet Earth is only a tiny part of the universe, but nowadays it's the only place where we can live.

People always polluted their surroundings. But now pollution is such a serious problem.

With the development of overcrowded industrial highly developed cities, the problem has become more and more dangerous. Today our planet is in serious danger. Acid rains, global warming, air and water pollution, and overpopulation are the problems that threaten human lives on the Earth.

In order to understand how air pollution affects our body, we must understand exactly what this pollution is.

Our forests are disappearing because they are cut down or burnt. If this trend continues, one day we won't have enough oxygen to breathe, we won't see a beautiful green forest at all.

The seas are in danger. They are filled with poison: industrial and nuclear wastes, chemical fertilizers and pesticides. If nothing is done about it, one day nothing will be able to live in our seas.

We can recycle our wastes. And it is now more than ever apparent that at the same time we are destroying our bodies and our future.

To contribute to the cause of environmental protection, you can start doing simple things right now to save our planet. Join us!

Scene 1 When brushing your teeth, don’t leave the water running.

Don’t waste water – and you can save up to 20 liters a day.

Scene 2 Save unused stuff. Clean out your closet and give what you don’t use to a charity organization.

Scene 3 Turn off the light. Turn off the light. And you’ll save your money and energy.

Scene 4 Recycle newspapers It will save more than half a million trees in a week. Yes, that’s right! A week!

Scene 5 At least once a week go vegetarian. Once a week go vegetarian. You will not only contribute to environment protection but also help your body to stay healthy.

Scene 6 Plant trees. And you’ll help our environment.

Scene 7 Print on both sides of a piece of paper. Every year we throw away millions of tons of office paper. But there is an easy way to cut the expenses in half: double – side printing.

Scene 8 Buy local food. It’s a great idea to support local manufactures. And, besides, you’ll decrease the harm caused to our nature during food transportation.

Scene 9 Use rechargeable batteries. Each year billions of batteries are being thrown in the trash and most of them contain metals dangerous to human health. Dump the batteries into special places. Help our planet!

Scene 10 Turn off your computer at night If everybody turned off their laptops, computers and other devices instead of leaving them in sleep mode, it would save 40 watt – hours per day.

Fortunately, it's not too late to solve these problems. We have the time, the money and even the technology to make our planet a better, cleaner and safer place. We can plant trees and create parks for endangered animals.
