HADITH OF THE DAY
WEARING SILK
Narrated by Uthman An-Nahdi
While we were at Adharbijan, Umar wrote to us: 'Allah's Messenger (Peace & Blessings of Allah upon Him) forbade wearing silk except this much. Then the Prophet approximated his two fingers (index and middle fingers) (to illustrate that) to us.' To our knowledge, by that he meant embroidery.
