HADITH OF THE DAY
PROPHET - ORDERED / FORBADE 7 THINGS
Narrated by Al-Bara bin Azib
The Prophet (Peace & Blessings of Allah upon Him) ordered us to do 7 (things) and forbade us from 7.
He ordered us to -
1. Visit the patients
2. Follow the funeral procession
3. Reply to the sneezer (i.e., say to him, 'Yarhamuk-allah', if he says 'Al-hamdulillah'
4. Help others to fulfill their oaths
5. Help the oppressed
6. Greet (whomever one should meet)
7. Accept the invitation (to a wedding banquet)
He forbade us to -
1. Wear golden rings
2. Wear golden ornaments
3. Use silver utensils
4. Use Mayathir (cushions of silk stuffed with cotton and placed under the rider on the saddle)
5. Use Qasiyya (linen clothes containing silk brought from an Egyptian town)
6. Use Istibraq (thick silk)
7. Use Dibaj (another kind of silk)
