HADITH OF THE DAY
MONEY EXCHANGE
Narrated by Abu Al-Minhal
I asked Allah's Messenger (Peace & Blessings of Allah upon Him) about money exchange. He replied, "If it is from hand to hand, there is no harm in it; otherwise it is not permissible."
Note: In exchanges of currency it is essential that the exchange be completed in the same sitting as the contract is made (hand to hand). It is not permissible to hand over some straight away and delay some.
