Monday 1st February

Hello lovely 6th class!

A new week of online learning is upon us at the start of a new month! 1st February is St. Brigid's day, an important symbol in Ireland and not just the Christian world as it marks the first day of Spring in Ireland. There's an optional activity today if you want to make the iconic symbol - her cross! It is also linked to our new theme from now....... STORY TELLING

You did an amazing job on your last theme and your OVERCOMING ADVERSITY PROJECTS so I am looking forward to seeing how you get on with this one and we will be explaining how you are going to do your next project on the Googlemeet today at 1.30pm:

Ms. Spillane's group - https://meet.google.com/hqm-fmfh-dow

Ms. Desmond's group - https://meet.google.com/gre-tskk-gyr

Aisling's group - https://meet.google.com/jrd-atio-xrx

We are going onto Chapter 28 THE CIRCLE in Maths and we are continuing I Am David chapter 7 today (please have today's work complete by the virtual reading groups today - first half of ch.7)

Well done to Matéo, Zihan and Osaid who were the top three in IXL last week 💪👇🥳️ Well done to you three but everyone else needs to pull their socks up this week. IXL is not optional - it is your Maths and English 6th class curriculum online and in an enjoyable game format. If some are not working on it, and because I have not heard of any internet issues with your devices, I will have no choice but to assign more work from Busy At Maths.

Work hard today, Ms. Spillane
