At first, when I saw the cover, and the title, I thought of a whole different plot! This book really surprised me, because it seems like a diary, like the ones from " Dear Canada "! This book was surprisingly interesting. I like how the author included mostly true facts and gruesome reality with enough fiction to make a great book. My favorite part was the ending when the truth was revealed to Dr. Waterton than Meredith Hollings was not even the proper age to work, but, after all that Meredith had done to save Dr. Waterton's family, it didn't matter and he even let Meredith continue school! I think I am more like Jack because sometimes my parents try to ask me what I want to be, but, before I even answer, they answer for me! I try to tell them that I want to make my own choice, and they leave me alone. I do not really have scenarios that relate to anything that is in this book, but please leave comments below, and I will happily reply!
