There are many different types of horror games and movies. I only consider one of them horror but there are more than one.
THE FIRST ONE: The zombies (Like Walking Dead)
Come on guys, zombies aren't scary. Its like calling a rotten banana evil. But a lot of you guys do consider zombies scary and I guess I respect that. This horror is mostly because of jump scares, the sounds and the way the zombies look.
THE SECOND ONE: Torture and Murder (Like Sinister)
I guess you could call it horror. Like its disturbing, VERY disturbing but its not scary for me but for you people out there who do find it scary this would be one a type of horror. I think its mostly scary for its blood and random killing scenes or like when they turn around and you randomly see some guy with an axe. It also depends on music.
THE THIRD ONE: The paranormal (Like The conjuring)
This is what I call horror. Its literally really scary. Ghosts, curses, possession. Its all so awesome. This also has a lot to do with music. What I like about this type of horror is that they come with a very long history or background story that you find out about at the end. I personally love the history or background story because it all makes so much sense at the end and your mouth is left hanging open. Like WOAH did that just happen?
THE FOURTH ONE: The witches and vampires (Like Vampire Diaries)
Now this is where it stops getting scaring but I guess if you get "Scared easily" than this would be considered horror. This type of horror is like what you would find in teen T.V shows like Vampire Diaries. Its more of a thriller but since there are vampires and witches in it, it would be considered horror.
THE FIFTH ONE: The stalker ( Like The House At The End Of The Street)
This is actually more of a thriller but at some times it can be pretty scary and creepy. Just imagining getting stalked or being kidnapped is really scary. These movies depend A LOT on the music. The jump scares wouldn't be scary at all without it.
