Giraffes

Giraffes are very special because they are very unique although all animals are unique, special and different but I said giraffes are very special because they are the tallest creatures (animals) in the world even the baby giraffes are sometimes taller than most humans. I like the giraffes tongue it's very special too it's purplish / bluish and very long too. I also like the giraffes patterns, once when I was in the zoo feeding a giraffe I went to look and learn about different animals and when I came back I feed the giraffe again and I thought I was feeding the same giraffe but I wasn't because it has different patterns. Giraffe patterns are just like human finger prints no giraffe has the same pattern like any other. Another interesting thing about giraffes is knowing their age you can't just know the giraffes age by it's weight or height, you know it by the spots / patterns on them, the darker the spots are the older a giraffe is. Giraffes have more than one stomach to help them digest their food in fact they have four stomachs. Giraffes spend most of their time standing up even when they are sleeping and giving birth. Giraffes only sleep 10 minutes - 2 hours per day, they are one of the mammals that sleep the shortest. Drinking is a problem for giraffes because of how tall they are, when drinking they have to spread both their front legs and crane their neck down to drink in an awkward angle this position leaves them clumsy and easier for predators.
