Buttercream Frosting-Bake Your Way to Success

Materials:

• 200g of softened butter (7/8 of a cup)
• 450g of icing sugar
• 2 tablespoons of milk
• 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
• Electric hand or standing mixer

1. Mix the butter until the colour has become lighter and the butter is fluffy.
2. Add in half of the icing sugar (225g).
3. Start mixing the icing sugar and butter together slowly and increase the speed slowly.
4. Once the first half of the icing sugar is mixed put in the other half in. Repeat step 3.
5. Scrape down the sides of the bowl so everything is mixed.
6. Add in the milk and mix.
7. Add in the vanilla extract and mix.
