Such Wicked Intent

For starters, this is a fantastic book. When I first saw the cover I was really uninterested , and thought it was one of those romantic tween type of books, but, I picked it up anyone. When I saw that this was the second part of this book, and went back to the library and got the first book, because you can never read a book, without knowing the prologue. Once I started reading the first book, I was HOOKED! By the time I finished the sad ending, I had high hopes for the award winning book,but I was the books did not live up to my expectations. It was, first of all, not as interesting, or believable as the first book. What I mean by this, is that the reader (me) had a hard time trying to visualize the book. It did not let the imagination in one soar free. Anyways, my favorite character in this book, was Henry, as he seems very humble, yet sweet. My question to Kenneth Oppel, would be, "Why not let Elizabeth and Victor, love each other?"
