Analogous Color

For this project, we needed to take a photo of Analogous colors. Colors that are next to eachother on the color wheel. Originally, I was walking around my house looking specifically for two colors that would work. It didn't even cross my mind that it could be stronger if I did more. I looked through my mom's fall decorations looking for reds and oranges and yellows and I came across three vases; one orange, one yellow, and one green. I struggled finding a good spot to take the image because I felt like I wasn't being creative enough. I ended up trying them on a window where the sun was coming through which created some very cool, colorful shadows. Each vase casted a shadow it's color which made the image much stronger. Editing wise, I cropped the photo down so that your eyes were drawn more to the shadows then anything. I also enhanced it so the colors popped more. To make the colors stronger and more bold, I adjusted the lighting so the shadows weren't as dim, and stood out more. This photo uses sharp focus, close distance, and repetition and grouping. I like this image because it was taken at a unique angle that was close up, yet captured more than it would if I were futher away.
