For this assignment, we had to take a photo of something that represents weather, being as creative as possible. I took my photo in Portland after eating dinner at flatbread. There was a beautiful sunset and a very clear reflection of it on the calm water. When I got in the car I noticed there was some water droplets on the window looking out so I took my camera and used selective focus to capture the water specs and the sunset in the back. I had no trouble with making this print in the darkroom. I did a test strip to figure out how long to expose it, and it was for 4 seconds. I made the print and thought it looked a little too grey so I just took the 3 filter and made another one and it turned out perfect. Originally I wanted to be a little more creative with this project but I like the clarity and sharpness that came with my use of selective focus.
