Abstraction

For this project, we had to take an image that was creative and where our focus was abstraction. The process of creating my image was very simple. I was walking around the school, looking for close up images of something of a cool shape but I was struggling. I couldn't find anything that I thought was worthy of taking a picture. I ended up going to the new part of the school where I noticed how the lights are a very unique, absract shape. I walked underneath the lights to take the image, and noticed that the skylights and wires, and the beams looked very cool. So what I did was, I stood from a couple different angles underneath the lights to try and get one that captured the most compostitions. For this one, I didn't stand directly under the light because I wanted to make sure I got pieces of the other lights in it so the image would have some grouping. Besides just grouping, this image also uses framing, leading lines, informal balance, and angle up. I like the amount of depth and the colors of this picture, I think it all flows nicely while it also uses many of the composition rules.
