Conflict

For this project, we had to photograph an image showing family dynamics. I didn't have an image for this project because I didn't have the time to take one. The image I'm using now was originally supposed to be for the project "conflict" because Annalise (the baby) was crying. The issue is that when I made the final print, you couldn't see the tears or tell that she was crying. After speaking with Mrs. Medsker, she said it would work for family dynamics even though it isn't my family. The image is of Annalise crying because she wanted to be put down. When her dad finally put her down, she tried to walk away but she kept falling so he grabbed her hand to help. My process was pretty painful. For my first print was exposed for 3 seconds and the boarder was perfect, the image was just too dark. My second print, I exposed the paper for 1 second and had a good boarder, however there was a chemial mark and under the boarder it was black. To resolve these issues I exposed it for 3 seconds, then put paper around the boarder so there was no black around the boarder. It ended coming out very very good and I left them on the drying rack to dry. The next day I went back to check on them and see how they turned out and someone else had gotten fix from their print all over each of my images so I immediately did the entire thing over again and I'm proud of how it turned out however I feel it isn't quite as strong as the one that was ruined.
