Compositions and Techniques

My favorite image is my close distance photo. This was a picture of the cake we had on my birthday. This photo has a lot of color from all the different types of fruit as well as texture. I zoomed in and it had a very sharp focus. The focus really made the texture stand out- giving the photo have a lot of value. For principles of design, the picture shows emphasis because its really emphasizing on the color and texture making the cake looking extra yummy. All the colors also sort of creates a happy rhythm. For composition rules and techniques it uses selective and sharp focus (the fruit), and grouping. The story behind this was after a rough soccer game, my mom told me "it's okay you have a fruit flaun at home!'' My parents got it for me because it was my birthday which made my day because its my absolute favorite cake.
