10. Pastel project

This was a color averaging pastel project. I had to choose a picture of someone and it had to be close up and above the shoulders. I chose messi because he is my favorite soccer player. After this I gridded my paper into 1x1 centemeter cubes. After this began color averaging. I had to mix pastel colors together in each individual box to make the colors accurate. I also could only divide them into halves and fourths and they had to be square. The whole process was very time consuming but it was worth it in the end.

I think I did well mixing the colors accurately and creating a life like picture. Although it was difficult to do the eyes, nose and lips I think I did pretty well. I think I could've done better on the white outside because it was very smudgy and could've been more neat. Overall I'm happy how it turned out.
