Feet

Artist Statement

The subject of this image is feet. For this image, I wanted to create the visual of the subject stepping into the water. In this image, I took the original image and tried to impersonate the sky as if it were in a dream. I, then, added the clouds to create the sky. I had duplicated the waves at the bottom of the image, which helps create the environment for the image. I also added the dolphin to add an interesting touch. I chose to create this image because it’s very thought-provoking; you could either think that the subject is trying to escape the water, by standing on the edge. Or, the subject could be waiting for the dolphin. The options are very endless. This image would be classified as sharp focus, in my opinion, because of the feet being very visible in the foreground, and the background is less visible to the eye. My project had evolved by determining where I wanted to put the clouds, and how I wanted to incorporate the waves; I had played around with different placements, but the final product was more of my vision. My image doesn’t really have a meaning, but previously I had stated that it is very thought-provoking and it has multiple meanings, and interpretations. For this image, I just wanted to create a dream-land. The additions to this make it look 3d, which makes it more eye-catching. This project relates to my life by my interest for the water eco-system, and how all of the properties of the water [fish, coral, etc] play a role together. The one thing that bothers me about this picture is not having enough room to make it look natural, and if i could re-do this image, it would be just to take the picture lower to add more waves, etc.
