Artist Statement

For this assignment, we had to take 18 pictures that corresponded with the 18 photographic compositions. On the left, is all of the original photos. On the right, is all of the edited photos. Below each orginal and edited photo are the adjustments to each photo. While taking photos for this assignment, I tried to keep in mind all of the factors specifically for each composition, which helped me to determine the perfect photo for each of the photographic compositions. Also while taking photos, I tried to experiement with different angles and what could be 'eye-catching.' I also learned while taking these photos that the world is so much more interesting through a lense, and when you put the properties of photography into the photos you take, it makes the photo that much more meaningful and also adds to the story behind that specific photo, which I personally think is super cool.
