About Me

About Me:

My name is Meaghan Erlebach. I was born in Brunswick, Maine. I have 1 sister. I tend to speak some of Spanish, but it's mostly English. Some of my career goals are to be in the Criminal Justice, specifically Forensic Science Psychology. I also want to be able to work to the highest point of this field. In 5 years, I see myself being in school for Forensic Science. I personally don't know anyone who has attended an art school. I am most proud of how hardworking I am, no matter the difficulty. In my free time, I enjoy cheerleading, sleeping, and eating. I enrolled in this class to get the more creative side as an artist, not just the basics. I don't really follow photography, but I really like older photographers, such as Ansel Adams. My ideal job would be chef or a baker. Three adjectives that people might use to describe me as hard-working, kind-hearted, and outgoing.

No title, Nigel Barker, 2016

I like this image because of the tones that are present. I also like the two-toned colors that are shown on her face. The blues transitioning to her skin tone gives the image separation, which is interesting no matter which side you look at it.

El Captain, Ansel Adams, 1902

I like this image, because it is very iconic to the world of Photography. I also like this image because of the certain shadows in the trees and how the grey scale gets or lighter depending on the points of the image you look at.

Iranian, B. Shirin Neshat, 1957

I like this image because it provides a message that some people tend to ignore. The text over the face has never been done before in this way, with this message which makes it even more significant to the viewers.

Collision of Two Balls, Berenice Abbott, 1997

I like this image because of the dark tones the black & white filter adds. I also like how the balls create a shape in the image helps which shows contrast, and leads you to follow them when looking at the image.

Bacardi Portfolio, Landon Wade, No date

I like this image because of the contrasting colors, and how they form a gradient. I also think the birds help to add a mysterious view to the image. The sun/ bright cast on the left also helps to seperate the colors from one another which adds a eye-catching look.
