WhatchamaDRAWit

This assignment was to create a drawing based off of an unusual prompt in order to demonstrate what it would be like to be given a strange/niche commission working as a professional artist (but also just as a fun intro to the class). My prompt was to draw a creature with a gorilla head, a cactus body, and a mermaid tail. I used graphite, watercolor, and ink pen to execute the project. I struggled a little bit with getting the gorilla head right, but otherwise it went smoothly. If I were to do it again I would do a more detailed background.
