The fundraiser featured various student artists from different schools in the Philippines, all of whom are performing voluntarily. It was held through Facebook Live during the first two Fridays and Saturdays of December, specifically on December 3, 4, 10, and 11 from 7-9 PM. In each concert, there were eight to nine soloists and bands performing a setlist of one to three songs of their choice.
Through Crescendo. we hope to improve the service of the doctors from our beneficiary hospitals, as well as to help their patients. During the pandemic, we believe that the provision of PPEs may make more doctors available for treatment, subsequently helping them with their health.
In addition to our beneficiaries, we also wish to provide our volunteer student artists an avenue to perform. Through a communications platform (Discord server), we also hope to create a space where our performers can promote themselves, network with each other, and find inspiration from one another. Through the concerts and performances, we hope to encourage them to keep making music and opening themselves to similar performance opportunities.
In the short term, we expect to give our performers promotions on our page that can help expand their reach, as well as a sense of fulfillment in contributing to a cause. In the long-term, we aim to build a community of performers who are open to sharing their musical works and collaborating with each other even after the end of the concerts.
Finally, we wish to give our audience a good time! Especially with the pandemic, we hope we can give our audience four free nights filled with music and fun, as well as a deeper appreciation for music and local student artists.
