SOGIEducational is a project that aims to educate and spread awareness on Sexual Identity and Gender Identity/Expression (also known as SOGIE) in the PSHS-MC community. This was done by holding a webinar in Zoom with expert guest speakers Mx. Ryan Silvero, executive director of the ASEAN SOGIE Caucus, and Mr. Jeff Cagandahan, the founder of Intersex Philippines.

As this project will educate and spread awareness, it will also create a more welcoming environment for students regardless of their SOGIE, especially students with SOGIE that does not fit the status quo.

We believe that this accepting environment is important for students who wish to explore their identities and express themselves freely. We also believe that educating the community will help reduce discrimination, from restrictive guidelines, exclusive language in teaching, and discriminatory behavior.
